Part Failure Results in DNF at Ohsweken Speedway

After a stellar start to the feature a part failure resulted in ending Kyle Phillips run at Ohsweken Speedway on July 10th.

 

After finishing 5th in his heat, that finish would put Phillips in the 13th starting spot for the 25 lap main event. Right off the hop Phillips would pass 3 cars on the first lap of the feature and on lap 2 would throw a hail mary going into turn 3 passing Tyler Powless and Josh Hanson and set his sights on the next group. Kyle would pass 2 more cars on lap 4 recording the 4th fastest lap of the race however in turn 3 and 4th the car slowed and Phillips dove down into the infield ending his hunt to the front. A broken drive coupler was what ended Kyle’s night.

 

Next up for Kyle Phillips Racing will be Merrittville Speedway on June 11th with the Southern Ontario Sprints Touring Series.
